November 21, 2023 - To strengthen the implementation of their current project, a team of faculty and staff from Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) traveled to Benguet State University (BSU) for a benchmarking activity.

Their purpose is to learn from the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program of BSU in partnership with the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD).

RAISE-CAR Program Leader, Dr. Ruth C. Diego; Regional Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTMB) Project Leader, Dr. Cynthia D. Garambas; and Office of Extension Services Director, Dr. Anna Cris L. Langaoan welcomed the visitors. They later engaged in a discussion on intellectual property, technology transfer, and commercialization among others. 

The DEBESMSCAT team also had a swift exchange with the International Relations Office (IRO) represented by its Deputy Director, Dr. Rex John G. Bawang and IRO staff, Ms. Glyrel Palberas. The visit ended with a brief tour of the university library.
