BSU GAD conducts seminar-workshop on HGDG

The Benguet State University (BSU) Gender and Development Office (GAD) conducted a seminar-workshop titled, “Beyond Attribution: Use of Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) to Mainstream Gender and Development Elements in the Project Development Cycle” at Santiago Cove, Sabangan, Ilocos Sur.

GAD Technical Working Group (TWG) members and other heads of offices attended the activity. Mr. Ferdinand P. Gonzales, a member of the Philippine Commission on Women resource pool, served as the resource speaker for the three-day activity. He tackled the topics of Integrating Gender Lenses in Programs and Gender Analysis using the HGDG tool.

After the discussion, the participants created and presented a proposal for their respective offices and campuses to mainstream gender and development in 2024. Mr. Gonzales reviewed and gave feedback for each presentation.

To wrap up, the participants shared their response and takeaways from the activity followed by the closing remarks from GAD Director Estrellita M. Daclan. She acknowledged the efforts of the participants, the speaker and the facilitators that led to the success of the activity.
