UPLB and CIRAD scientists observe BSU and BAPTC facilities

A team of four came from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and the Center de Coopéracion Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Dévelopment (CIRAD) conducted a benchmarking activity at the university on March 27, 2024.

This is part of CIRAD French scientists Jean Gérard and Patrick Langbour objectives to visit Philippine research institutions, some farmers, and academic laboratories and foster possible collaboration and partnerships toward a more sustainable agricultural production system. They were accompanied by ULPB faculty members Fernando O. Paras Jr. and Sharon Dell B. Paras.

College of Engineering (CE) faculty members Almon B. Bokilis and Alvin C. Dulay along with BSU alumna and current CSLU instructor Dr. Melba Denson hosted the visitors. 

The benchmarking activity transpired with a facility tour at the Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center (BAPTC) and the BSU Strawberry Farm. //CANapiloy
