CatSU faculty members learn best practices from BSU College of Information Sciences

Ten faculty members from the Catanduanes State University (CatSU) College of Information and Communications Technology visited Benguet State University (BSU) on July 11, 2024 to learn from the best practices of the College of Information Sciences (CIS).

According to Mae Ezra T. Abundo, IT Services director of CatSU, this initiative would allow CatSU educators to enhance their curriculum in information technology, information systems, computer science, library information science, and entertainment and multimedia computing courses. They were received by CIS Dean Russel B. Dolendo and other faculty members from the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Library and Information Science, and the Department of Development Communication.

Dolendo and her team shared best practices of CIS on library and information science, information technology, and development communication. Topics discussed included curriculum, enrolment, licensure examinations, student organizations, research, and extension initiatives.

Both BSU and CatSU teams looked forward to collaboration on licensure exam preparation and training programs.//EBawayan
