The third State of the University Address (SOUA) of Dr. Felipe Salaing Comila was held after the flag-raising ceremony spearheaded by the College of Teacher Education – Elementary Laboratory School on November 28, 2023, in front of the Administration building. It highlighted the University’s accomplishments this year from the different BSU sectors.

The SOUA marks Dr. Felipe Salaing Comila’s third year as the University President.

In his address, Pres Comila said that people may have different roles in life and in the University and despite having different achievements, all are equal in the eyes of the Creator. He also encouraged everyone to appreciate their teachers, parents, and elders, and be grateful for whatever role given to them.

Afterward, this year’s accomplishments in the academic sector, research and extension, and business affairs were shared by the vice presidents and a representative from each sector. These were presented by Dr. Marlon S. Tabdi, representing the Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Samuel S. Poliden, Vice-President for Business Affairs Dr. Norma P. Banania, and Vice-President for Research and Extension Dr. Johnny G. Dati Sr.

Meanwhile, College of Nursing Dean Vicente G. Panagan Jr. presented the plaque of recognition given to the University during the SHAYAW 2023: Stellar Health Achievements Yearly Awards, which is in line with the celebration of the Benguet 123rd Foundation Anniversary. This award is in recognition of the University’s efforts and contributions in upholding and promoting “Health Equity and Access through all Life Stages Towards Healthier I-Benguet through Efficient and Responsive health systems”.
