Steadfast in its goal of achieving excellence, a team of faculty members from Bicol University (BU) headed by their Director for the Institute of Physical Education Sports and Recreation (IPESR), Dr. Carina L. Sales, engaged in a benchmarking activity with the Benguet State University-College of Human Kinetics (BSU-CHK).

During their discussion at the CHK Function Hall, Dr. Sales and her team exchanged best practices with CHK Director Marlon S. Tabdi, along with the Center of Sports, Recreation, and Wellness Director Mr. Frael U. Aquino and other CHK faculty members. The topics of instruction, research, and extension were thoroughly explored, allowing a comprehensive understanding of the strategies employed by both institutions. Questions, queries, and clarifications were also addressed by both participating teams.

The BU team had a tour of the BSU Income-Generating Projects, such as the Food Processing Center, Bakery, and Marketing Center. They also visited the Strawberry Farm.
