BSU researchers pitch proposals for funding

To determine potential research projects and studies for 2025 university funding, Benguet State University researchers pitched their gender-sensitive research proposals before a panel of evaluators last May 3, 2024.

The researchers presented their research proposals in three categories: S&T AANR/FIEET; Social; abd Education. Presenters for both S&T AANR/FIEET and Education categories congregated at the Research and Extension halls while presenters of the Social category convened at the Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center (ATBI/IC) Hall.

In his remarks, VP for Research and Extension Roscinto Ian C. Lumbres encouraged the researchers to uphold their intellectual integrity in today's contemporary AI-dominated society.

While recognizing the undeniable benefits of artificial intellegence, he still championed hard work and brainstorming sans AI to craft quality research ideas and outputs as proven by the previous seasoned researchers of the university.

On another note, he mentioned that the need for updated and researcher-friendly policies remains one of the most pressing concerns that the university Research and Extension Sector is planning to work on.

Additionally, President Comila commented the activity, asking the participants to focus on finding the beauty in everything, even in the conduct of research.//CANapiloy
