The Open University offers various courses: Master’s degree in various fields, Diploma Courses, Certificate courses, as well as short term courses.
THE MASTER´S DEGREE |
Students enrolled in the Master’s Degree have to finish a minimum of 36 units to earn the degree. It enables the student to learn the theories, principles, and/or concepts and integrate these into the skills that he/she desires to specialize into. The master’s degree that are currently offered are as follows: |

THE DIPLOMA COURSE |
| The Diploma Courses offered at BSU-OU is a post-baccalaureate degree with total credit units of 24. Students who complete their Diploma Course are given a Diploma of Completion, and may be admitted to the Master’s degree. The Diploma Courses are as follows: |
- Diploma in Training Management
- Diploma in Urban Management

THE CERTIFICATE COURSE |
A Certificate Course has total credit units of 12. Students admitted in the program may be high school graduates or baccalaureate degree holders. At the end of the program, the students with passing performance shall be given a Certificate of Completion, and may be admitted to the Diploma Course. These two certificate courses are both new. The certificate in organic agriculture is a ladderized degree towards a Master’s Degree in Ecology. The graduates in the Certificate in Local Governance may opt to continue the Master’s Degree in Local Governance or Master in Public Administration that is offered by the Graduate School. Thos interested to pursue the Master’s degree after finishing the certificate courses, however, must have completed a baccalaureate degree. |

THE SHORT COURSES |
Short courses that are mostly agriculture-based are offered with training fees. This includes mushroom production, crop production, animal production; industrial courses such as beekeeping, baking, cosmetology; and some trade courses such as welding, automotive mechanics, and computer literacy. The short courses are offered upon request by interested groups. |
