The
College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is an avenue for the training
of dynamic responsible and committed citizens. It provides basic education
in the arts and sciences facilitating the integral development of individuals
to enable them to effect changes in themselves and their environment
so that they may realize the fullness of human life. It works towards
the achievement of the four-fold function of the Benguet State University
: instruction, research, extension, and production.

1. To facilitate the integral development

towards the preparation of students

2. To offer non-specialized and non-vocational learning
courses appropriate and essential for all
in a free society.
3. To develop critical thinking effective communication, sound
judgement, and value formations.

The College
of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is the arm of the University tasked
to offer the basic courses for the first two curricular years
required by the various degree programs of the university. It
also offers major courses for BSE students of the College of Education
in Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Social Studies, English and

| ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS |

| For New Students (freshmen) |
|
1. Form 138 with an average of
80% (BSAS & BSES), and 85% (BSIT)
2. Passed the qualifying examination administered by the Testing
Office of BSU with a
cut-off score of 80% (BSAS
& BSES), and 90% (BSIT).
3. Must have a grade of 80% (BSAS) and 85% (BSIT) or higher in
Mathematics and Science;
4. A certificate of good moral character from the institution
where the student came from.
5. Photocopy of birth certificate; and
6. Four copies of 2x2 colored ID picture (full front with white
background) |
| For Transferees |
1. Must not have any failing
grades;
2. Must pass the qualifying examination conducted by the BSU Testing
Office
3. Must have a grade of 2.5 or better in College Algebra (BSAS
and BSIT)
4. Must submit certificate of good moral character from the institution
where the transferring student came from
and a photocopy of birth certificate
5. Must satisfactorily pass the validation exams for subjects
with grades lower than 2.00 taken in
non-ACAP institions. |
