International Relations Office



     The International Relations Office (IRO) of Benguet State University is the lead office in facilitating and coordinating international partnerships for the university. The IRO aims to mainstream the university in the global arena, to benefit from mutual partnerships with known universities of the world, as well as with developing universities with excellent niche programs and projects.

Selected BSU officials and a delegation from Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association (namely Agriagaia ® Social Enterprise and the National Chung Hsing University), based in Taiwan, met on December 5, 2018 to discuss a possible project proposal for submission to a funding agency.
Visitors from Chung Shan Medical University-Department of Nutrition, Taiwan came to BSU last December 7, 2018 to talk about possible collaborations with the College of Home Economics and Technology (CHET). A delegation from Ha Giang Province, Vietnam, headed by His Excellency Nguyễn Văn Son (5th from left), Vice-secretary and Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee, had a campus tour at Benguet State University on November 21, 2018. The delegation came to Benguet to sign a Sisterhood Agreement with the provincial government, simultaneously with the province’s foundation anniversary celebration.
Dr. Professor Raimundas Rukuiza, a visiting professor from Aleksandras Stulginskis University, Lithuania made a courtesy call to the BSU President upon arrival at the university on October 26, 2018. Dr. Professor Rukuiza conducted a lecture to the students of the College of Engineering and Applied Technology and had several meetings for possible collaboration.

Ten student teachers from various universities in Indonesia arrived on August 3, 2018 as the 6th Batch to take part in the SEA Teacher Project. They are assisted by the College of Teacher Education and will be hosted by the university until August 31, 2018.
Four students from the Honggi Language Learning Center in China took a 2-week Intensive Functional English Language Program (IFELP) at the International Language Center (ILC) from August 6-17, 2018. They were accompanied by their mothers and the manager of the language center, Mr. David Wang (center).

Calora Jr. with the delegates from the Center of Development Programs, Philippines, Odisee University and SOLIDAGRO, Belgium. Benguet State University signed a Memorandum of Agreement on August 6, 2012 with the Japan Agriculture Exchange Council (JAEC), a non-government organization, for the project on Safe Vegetable Promotion through SAVERS (Safe Vegetable from Rich Soil) technology. The MOA signing was executed by BSU President Ben D. Ladilad and JAEC representative Juntaro Nakajima, local manager of the Safe Vegetable Promotion Project in Benguet, and was witnessed by VP R&E Luciana M.
