The International Relations Office (IRO) of Benguet State University is the lead office in facilitating and coordinating international partnerships for the university. The IRO aims to mainstream the university in the global arena, to benefit from mutual partnerships with known universities of the world, as well as with developing universities with excellent niche programs and projects.

Benguet State University signed a Memorandum of Agreement on August 6, 2012 with the Japan Agriculture Exchange Council (JAEC), a non-government organization, for the project on Safe Vegetable Promotion through SAVERS (Safe Vegetable from Rich Soil) technology. The MOA signing was executed by BSU President Ben D. Ladilad and JAEC representative Juntaro Nakajima, local manager of the Safe Vegetable Promotion Project in Benguet, and was witnessed by VP R&E Luciana M.
