The BSU-Human Resource Development Office conducted five batches of seminar-workshop on Inclusive Education entitled Every Teacher, An Inclusive Teacher with the theme “Crossing the Great Divide” on various dates from March to July 2017 at Benguet State University.

The seminar-workshop aimed to set BSU campuses in preparing an inclusive education program observed in their curriculum. It also aimed to prepare teachers and enhance their competencies on inclusive education and special education in which they must be able to respond appropriately to their additional needs while providing for the developmental needs of the students.

Attended by faculty members from BSU La Trinidad Campus, Bokod Campus and Buguias Campus, Office of Student Services Personnel, University Health Services Personnel, University Library and Information Services Personnel, topics discussed were Introduction to Inclusive Education, Prejudice Reduction, Universal Design in Teaching and Learning, Appropriate Support for Higher Educational Institutions, and International Influences on Inclusive Education, Protective Laws for Children and Ethics of Teaching. It was followed by a workshop.

The Saint Louis University-Institute for Inclusive Education Foundation, Inc. served as learning resource providers during the activity.
