BSU Buguias Campus turns 43

The
BSU Buguias Campus formerly the Buguias-Loo Agro-Industrial School,
celebrated its 43rd Foundation Day on November 12-14 with the theme,
"Reminiscing the past, moving on to the future."
The celebration was highlighted with an opening parade on November 11
participated by the BSU Buguias students, Benguet and Buguias LGUs,
and the heads and staff of BSU Bokod Campus and BSU main in La Tinidad.
The parade was followed by an opening program where government officials
were given the chance to commend the school on its accomplishments for
the past 43 years.
"You have come a long way as an institution of learning, a few
more years and you will be celebrating your golden anniversary,"
said BSU President, Dr. Rogelio D. Colting in a message.
"I would like to commend the BSU Buguias Campus for the tremendous
improvement from the last 3-4 years," added BSU Vice President
for Administration, Dr. Alfredo C. Tipayno citing that the school has
improved in their Income Generating Projects (IGPs) and on their harmonious
relationship with the community and with each other.
Other guests who arrived to greet the school include Atty. Ferdinand
Bolislis representing Congressman Samuel M. Dangwa, Executive Assistant
Bagano representing the Benguet governor Nestor B. Fongwan, Buguias
mayor Felicio K. Bayacsan and BSU Bokod Campus Executive Dean, Albert
B. Panangon.
More than three pigs were butchered and prepared by the staff of BSU
Buguias Campus headed by their Executive Dean, Dr. Basito S. Cotiw-an
to welcome their guests and to give the Loo community a treat.
