BSU-ANEC or Affiliated Nonconventional Energy Center has ventured to Lusod, Kabayan for a community based micro-hydro system this year. In partnership with the Barangay Alternative Power Association of Lusod (Lusod-BAPA) and the CEAT summer 2007 practicum students, the ANEC with 300, 000 peso funding was able to construct a conveyance canal and install a grosshead, turbine, penstock and generator. |

Lusod women and youth also helped in the construction and installation of the microhydro system. The BSU-ANEC is the extension arm of the Department of Energy (DOE) in the development, promotion and utilization of Renewable Energy (RE) systems in the Cordillera and BAPA is the people's organization of the Lusod villagers |
