BSU students bagged second place besting other contestants from UPLB, CLSU, BPSU, BulSU and MMSU in the first ever Battle of Agri-brains, a quiz contest for agricultural schools all over the country held on Sept. 15 in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City . BSU is next to Araneta and De la Salle University who made a tie for the first place.

     The BSU team members are Corazon D. Casio, Lilia A. Palasi, Jaylord Z. Magat, Arjay M. Venturina and Vladimir W. Wanagen Polig. They were coached by Samuel S. Arcellana, Marlene B. Atinyao, Jones K. Feliciano, Madeline S. Kingan and Myrna B. Walsiyen from the Animal Science Department, College of Agriculture .

     The Battle of Agri-brains was the highlight of the 2007 Philippine Poultry Show held last Sept. 14-16. It aims to provide a venue for schools to play in a competitive and friendly arena and to help students hone their skills and achieve their potentials in order to bring honor to their university.

     The show is attended by poultry producers, suppliers, technical service providers and government partners in their campaign to become globally competitive and ensure that the Philippines remain free from bird flu.
