| Book launching in BSU 07.08.06- JLSabado/UPAO In line with Benguet State University 's 90 th Foundation Anniversary celebration, several books were launched during Books and Instructional Materials Exhibit held last June 27, at the BSU Anthurium Hall. Among these include 90 Ways to Cook Chayote by Jane K. Avila, Lory C. Balaoing, and Norma P. Banania. The book also serves to support the Benguet Provincial Tourism Council's effort to showcase the utilization and versatility of chayote as a major crop in Benguet. This recipe book contains 90 chayote recipes like chayote cheese soup, economical lasagna and vegetable pastel. Another book, the Ethno Food Technologies of the Cordillera, also by Jane K. Avila and Lory C. Balaoing, is a documentation of the ethno food technologies in the Cordillera such as Kinoday, Inasinan and Kini-ing. The book captured these technologies in print for the future generations to appreciate and enjoy. Production and Postharvest Technologies of Vegetables in the Mid-Elevation and High Altitude Tropics by Franco T. Bawang is inspired by the increase in the number of people engaged in vegetable production in the Cordillera who seek formal tutorship and advise. Guide on Citrus Production in the Cool Highlands by Alfredo C. Tipayno is a practical and simplified guide for beginners in citrus production to meet the challenges posed by the deluge of imported citrus fruits in the local markets. Several research books were also launched by the Northern Philippines Root Crops Research and Training Center (NPRCRTC). These include Sweet Potato Industry Profile in the Philippines by Ines C. Gonzales and Teresita D. Masangcay; Medicinal Value of Root crops and Other Related Crops by Ines C. Gonzales; Cassava Industry Profile in the Philippines by Esther T. Botangen, Grace T. Backian and Betty T. Gayao; Potato Industry Profile in the Philippines by Jocelyn C. Perez, Cynthia G. Kiswa and Paz A. Dalang; and Minor Root Crops Industry Profile in the Philippine s by Dalen T.
