BSU Graduates Excel in Licensure Exam

          The University which is Center of Excellence in Agriculture, has four BS in Agriculture students, who made it to the top twenty in the Agriculturist Licensure Examination nationwide.

     The students who are graduates of the College of Agriculture are: Jonathan F. Conilang, Animal Science major, ranked 11^th place while Amie S. Dayao, Plant Pathology major; Madeline A. Songuitan, Animal Science major and Noreen J. Gibson, Agronomy major placed 14^th, 17^th, and 20th place, respectively.

     As earlier reported, the College of Veterinary Medicine had two students who made it to the top ten in the Veterinarian Licensure Examination (VLE).Oliver P. Timbreza landed seventh place while Fernando M. Venturina Jr. topped it to third place making him the highest-ranking VLE passer in BSU-DVM history.

     Another record breaker is Lea D. Foy-os of the College of Nursing. She is now the highest-ranking Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) passer from BSU after placing 11^th in the NLE.

     Ms. Foy-os together with Mr. Venturina are finalist to the Search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines. Another student is Antoinette Kindipan, a BS in Development Communication graduate.

     Meanwhile, the BSU–College of Forestry ranked 4^th among the top five performing schools nationwide. Among 51 schools offering forestry courses, BSU had a passing rate of 34%, in the recently held licensure examination, qualifying them in the top five. Other schools in the top five are: the University of the Philippines-Los Banos,with a passing rate of 98%, Leyte State University ,42%; University of Southern Philippines, 38% and Western Mindanao State University 29%.
