Five BS in Agricultural Engineering Graduates Hurdle Board Exam Five graduates passed the Board Examination for Agricultural Engineers conducted on August 2009 with a passing rate of 19%. They are Rex Warden Dailay, Abdon Danglose, Allan Bert Jamoyo, Don Ognayon and Junofre Tangec. The College of Engineering and Applied Technology is already Level II Re-accredited by the AACCUP or the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines. During the first semester of School Year 2009-2010, the enrolment rate of the degree Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering has increased by 31.15%. Agricultural Engineering is the application of engineering design and analysis to the protection of natural resources, power systems, structural analysis and environmental control. It is one of the Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources (AFNR) courses being prioritized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD). This is to sustain the professional manpower in different AFNR sectors which are important in meeting social goals of food security, poverty alleviation and sustainable development. |
