With
80% of its degree programs duly accredited by the Accrediting Agency
for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP),
Benguet State University is now up for institutional accreditation.
Out of the forty accredited degree programs, the following have attained

(BSAB), BS in Applied Statistics (BSAS), Bachelor in Elementary Education
(BEE), BS in Home Economics (BSHE), BS in Nursing (BSN), Bachelor in

A program which has attained Level III accreditation status is said

community extension program, a highly visible research tradition, a
strong faculty development tradition, a highly creditable performance
of its students in licensure examinations, a working consortia or linkages
with other schools and other agencies and an extensive and functional

According to AACCUP, accreditation is a process by which an institution
at the tertiary level evaluates its educational activities, in whole
or in part, and seeks an independent judgment to confirm that it substantially
achieves its objectives, and is generally equal in quality to comparable
institutions.
For BSU, accreditation helped in increasing the quality of education
it serves. Accreditation also lent prestige to its degree programs such
as the degree Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics which was the
first to be accredited level III in the whole country. Likewise, the
degree Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine was the first in the
country to be re-accredited level III.
