BSU, SLU, UC and PMA Pools Library
Resources 07.03.09 - JSTabangcura&MRicardo The Benguet State University, Saint Louis University, University of the Cordilleras and the Philippine Military Academy inked a MOA pooling their library resources last June 30 at the PMA Lopez Hall of Leaders. As stated in the MOA, the different schools agreed to establish the Cordillera Administrative Region (CARe) Consortium, to be known in brief as the CARe. “This networking among institutions strives to achieve an expanded sense of community, an effective enrichment of academic life and a strategic response to the increasing demands of rapid technological change,” the MOA reads. The CARe will allow the libraries of BSU, SLU, UC and PMA to: collaboratively acquire and/or share electronic web based information; provide adequate research support to their own institutions’ programs and other institutions; provide better access for each member library to resources held within the CARe; extend diversified expertise and services of library-participants; share information on important professional issues and; identify and conduct outreach activities that will benefit an adopted community of the CARe. The MOA was signing was attended by: BSU president, Dr. Rogelio D. Colting; SLU VP for Administration, Atty. Arnulfo S. Soriano; UC OIC president, Lida Bowman and; PMA Assistant Superintendent, Brig. Gen. Rommel Gomez. |
