The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between BSU and DOLE-CAR was signed on December 19 by DOLE-CAR Regional Director, Atty. Ana C. Dione and BSU President, Dr. Rogelio D. Colting. Atty. Dione also turned over a hundred thousand pesos during the MOA signing for the implementation of the program. Selected business proposals will be granted Php 5,000.00 each as financial assistance. The university will be responsible in providing necessary technical assistance to the beneficiaries.

Students who can become beneficiaries of the program must: focus on agribusiness, food processing or production, manufacturing and service; be willing to provide 15% counterpart of the total project cost; and willing to undergo related skills training.

The SEED program aims to provide necessary knowledge and skills in business management to help would be entrepreneurs to start, improve and expand their business concerns. This is to make them self-employed so that they can create employment opportunities for others and generate substantial income to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
