Benguet State University (BSU) applauds the students who emerged as champions in the Panagbenga Festival 2022 Open Dance Competition held on March 20 and the Session Road in Bloom Quiz Bee Competition held on March 22 in Baguio City. 

     The BSU Kontad was awarded 1st place among eight competitors in the Panagbenga Open Dance Competition - Cultural Category. They performed the “Panag-Ashem Nen Agudong Sun Ket-an,”  translated as “The Courtship of Agudong to Ket-an.” A total of 31 members from Kontad joined the competition and performed at the Melvin Jones Grandstand and Football grounds.   The Highland Cultural Dance Troupe, better known as Kontad, is a unit under BSU Center for Culture and the Arts (CCA).

     Another competition joined by two teams of students from the BSU College of Home Economics and Technology was the Session in Bloom Quiz Bee Competition. The group of Ms. Maria Lyn Aritao, Ms. Sarah Balangen, and Ms. Libayan Joy Sumakey was awarded 1st place out of ten teams who participated in the competition. On the other hand, the group of Mr. Lyndon Puroc, Ms. Linarda Duping, and Ms. Charlotte Tuiginay were among the top 5 finalists in the same competition. 

     The Panagbenga Festival 2022 started on March 6 and ended on March 27. //RCherweg,AKCariño
