BSU to host two international conferences

The University will be hosting two international conferences in 2017. These are the International Conference on Forestry, Environment and Climate Change and the 1st International Conference on Food, Culture and Environment.
The Conference on Forestry, Environment and Climate Change will be held on January 11-13, 2017 at the Gladiola Center with the theme, “Forestry Researches Promoting Sustainable Development Amidst Climate Change”.
This venture is an effort to improve the lecture series to invite researchers, discussant, academicians and research partners to share their findings on recently conducted researches that can help address some of the most pressing concerns of forest, environment and climate change.
The College of Forestry is one of the pioneering school in Forestry in the Cordillera. Since 2009, the College has been conducting lecture series among faculty in the University for discussions of some of the recent research findings in Forestry.
On the other hand, the 1st International Conference on Food, Culture and Environment will be held on May 15-18, 2017 at the Hotel Supreme in Baguio City with the theme, “Fostering International Cooperation for Sustainable Development through Multidisciplinary RDE”.
It aims to showcase and enhance learning experiences from research outputs in the multidisciplinary field of Food, Environment, and Culture. Bringing together local and foreign researchers will renew and foster new partnerships in various fields.
