ADMISSION POLICIES
1. All prospective first year applicants are required to file their application at the office of the Principal during the application period prescribed and scheduled by the Secondary Laboratory School.
2. Applicants must present all application requirements personally in the presence of their parent/guardian for evaluation. Applicants must present the following requirements:
a. Form 138-A (Report Card)
The following are cut-off grades:
a.1. HE & Vo-Ag. The applicant should have a general point average(GPA) of 80% or higher, with a final grade of 80% or higher in all the subjects.
a.2. Agricultural Science. The applicant should have a general point average (GPA) of 85% or higher and with a grade of 85% or higher for Science, Math and English. He/She should not have a final rating below 80% in other subjects.
b. 2 copies 1½ x 1½ latest ID picture with white background

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
1. Upon approval of application, students are scheduled for their entrance examination to be given by the Testing and Material & Development Office of the OSA;
2. The entrance test consists of IQ test (50%) and test on their chosen course (50%). Final result is taken from entrance test (70%) and from the average grade (30%).
3. The result of the entrance test is posted at the bulletin board ten (10) working days after the test.
4. The number of qualified applicants per course as prescribed is as follows:
a. Science – top 45
b. Vocational Agriculture – top 40
c. Home Economics – top 40
5. Qualified first year students are required to attend the orientation and 10 days supervised field work within the specified period set by the school.
6. Qualified applicants who fail to confirm their intention of enrolling in BSU-SLS within five (%) days after the release of the result of the Entrance Examination will be replaced by the applicant next in rank.
STUDENT TRANFEREES
As a matter of policy, the department does not accept transferees from other schools.
