Office for Legal Affairs
The Office attends to the legal needs of the University especially in the areas of legal representation, legal advice and counseling, contracts, deeds and conveyances, notary, administrative investigation, and similar concerns. The following are the functions of each member of the office:
University Legal Officer:
- Legal assistance and counseling
- Court representation and litigation
- Legal and administrative investigation
- Legal forms and conveyance
- Member of University Special Committees
Administrative Aide IV:
- Draft/prepare legal documents
- Support-Messengerial:
- External – Courts, law offices, government agencies, prosecutor’s office, etc.
- Internal – BSU offices/personnel
- Management assistance
- Maintenance of legal/law library Encode letters, notices, etc.
- Sit as temporary/substitute recorder of committee meetings
- Advice students and employees seeking advice on legal matters
- Does other related functions
